BUDOKAN Martial Arts

New Dojo Open Date!!!

OK guys, we did it! Your ability to be “resolved from the beginning” has payed off. We talked about the 47 ronin and the level of resolve required to see something through from its start to finish. Well, your diligence will now be rewarded. Our dojo is basically complete, were good to open. Our last training day at the old dojo will be Monday, November 28th, 2011, which happens to be my earthday, or birthday. I could not have asked for any better gift than to have such amazing students as you, students who understand that perfection is a constant and through hardwork success is achieved. Also I was blessed to meet such wonderful parents who had the insight and intelligence to bring their child to the Budokan especially since there are so many martial arts schools all around. Those who joined our academy and did not quit will now see why it  is the premier Martial Arts Academy in the South Shore of Long Island! Our first class will be Sunday morning (Nov 27th) it will be an Iaido class, welcome to everyone. More exciting news is that were in the process of getting our MMA cage, once this is installed and complete we will have our official Grand opening extravaganza. Thank You to all, especially those who helped to build our first dojo in Valley Stream. Fasten your seat belts, buckle up and get ready for the ride. Congratulations, you guys did it.

  1. It has been an honor to train at the “old” Budokan for these past years, and seeing the new dojo come to be has been unbelievable. This dojo belongs to us all, as we all took part in creating it, so we should take care of it and use it to the fullest! Let’s train hard and make some new memories, and some new champions, at the new dojo! Osu!

Well said Kyle, and beautiful video Sensei. Reliving the stages that the New Budokan went through during it’s renovation and having the transformation documented in such a way is a gift. The “old” Budokan gave each of us many gifts over the years, in different and personal ways, this is the first of many gifts the New Budokan has in store for us! Osu!!!

Good things come to those who work dilligently to make them happen, and I sure witnessed hard work and patience from all who participated in this process. Now lets prepare to reap the benefits of our labor. Osu.
